I'm 21 but ok. Go back and listen to those albums when you are ready. I'm not gonna put you down, but fuck it's embarrassing I share this board with plebeian scum like you.

All I have to say about Homogenic and Age of Adz is that they found ways to structure "pop" oriented songs in a very progressive manner and sound almost like prophetic visions. They both sequence electronic drum patterns and kit sounds to perfection (This coming from me: a drummer, piano player, vocalist). Not to mention how spiritual and metaphorical the lyrics are on both these albums as they express ideas of a society that has gotten way out of touch with love and acceptance as the end goal of a nonstop human struggle to understand pain.

Also, Bjork is probably the greatest vocalist in the history of pop, and Sufjan is the most melodic vocalists since Brian Wilson

No it isn't. It is a frequent theme in Greek, Roman and other literature where prophecies were vague enough to be misinterpreted leading to tragedy. Don't talk down to people and their writing if you are this bad yourself.

Not even him, but how did you possibly deduce that? And what's even going on in this thread?
>>
>>73154123
They both spread the same message. The same one prophets have been sending for ages.

Unless our society and the leaders of the free (and not so free) world come together with acceptance of beliefs and love, we will continue to struggle. Roger Waters said it best on his new album. After WWll, we could have all come together with love, but we as a democratic world chose a materialistic approach to dealing with the pain, rather than actually healing through art, expression, and conversation. There are many messages from both these artists, but they both illustrate the struggles that we as a society (and within ourselves) need to overcome before moving on in the next life or to experience complete transcendence. Sometimes one song at a time (Now That I'm Older, Stonemilker, Death With Dignity, No Shade in the Shadow of the Cross, Human Behaviour, Quicksand, etc.) all their songs on their biggest albums (except Illinois and Post) have clear moral stories of overcoming a struggle. It's the empathetic emotion of "being there" for somebody's struggle, that helps everyone accept and understand one another and to help try to understand our purpose of being on this planet. But that purpose isn't even seen, unless we actually work on our problems and insecurities.

That's pretty prophetic to me. But fuck, it's more important than "whether it's prophetic or not" it's just important to acknowledge what these artists truly aim for
>>
