People who hate Sufjan are the biggest contrarian faggots I've ever seen. His music is completely inoffensive indie folk and by all accounts he is a perfectly decent human being. His music may not be your cup of tea but to say you "hate him so much" seems a bit unwarranted. What did he do to you? Kick your dog? Poison your family?

Seven Swans and Carrie and Lowell are quite clearly indie folk as well, what are you talking about? The only albums of his that wouldn't qualify is Age of Adz and Enjoy Your Rabbit, and I was generalizing, as he is usually referred to as an "indie folk" artist.

It sounds like your real problem is with indie folk in general, not Sufjan himself. I don't like a lot IDM but I never say "I hate Autechre so much" because they receive "way too much praise." I understand that it's not my cup of tea, people who like IDM typically enjoy Autechre, and I move on. No need to be immature.
Also, if you are going to characterize Sufjan's voice as "absolute trash," could you name one song where his vocals have been horrible or off-
melody? Maybe you don't like his whispery style, but he has repeatedly demonstrated a great range and strong live performances.
