Just listened to pic related. There's only three words in the English vocabulary that even remotely describe my feelings towards it.
>Hella fucking epic
You bros heard this jam?
meh
>You bros heard this jam?
Of course everyone heard it, it's fucking /mu/.
That said, no, I didn't, but glad you liked it

Yeah its good
Ive just gotta be in the right mood to enjoy it tho
listened to it a 3 days ago
not bad, but not my favorite, GY!BE still stays in my heart
>>73073881
GY!BE seems more structured desu, I like them a whole lot more than Swans
>>73073885
prepubescence idolizes GYBE, adulthood understands that Swans is the final boss
>>73073908
I should just listen to them more. Ive gone through GY!BE a couple times, but have only listened to SFTB from swans
>>73073759
I didn't also. Swans demand way too much time to be appreciated.

989 here, not that new like a year and a half, listened to TBK and Filth, very good music but simply too much for me.
>>73073735
Underrated /mu/ meme, tobehonest. It never fails to make me smirk like an idiot.
>>73074034
so extremely new
>>73074005
eh been browsing for a couple years but I started listening to post-rock about a year ago
>>73074085
Hey at least i gave it a try
>>73073735
Some songs put me off, but apart from that is fucking awesome

It's one of the most popular fucking albums on /mu/, like some other guy said. It's like asking /tv/ if they've seen The Dark Knight Rises
Other than that it's a great album.
The key to Swans is
First, actually *listening* to it, not as background noise but as you'd read a book or look at a painting (which you should do with most music, but especially stuff like Swans).
Next, give it more than one listen-through. It's not an easy album but it's a rewarding album when it clicks (again, just like a good book might be harder to read than some airport romantic novel it's much more thought-provoking).
Third, listen to it in the proper setting. Mood and athmosphere should fit if you want it to click (again true for most albums). When SFTB clicked for me I was riding my bicycle alone at night in the countryside during an emotionally conflicting period and everything suddenly made sense.
Lastly, stop being a fucking pleb. It's just Swans not quantum physics - if you don't understand SFTB at even a superficial level you're too pleb for life.
