The genius of The Beatles isn't on innovation. They weren't innovative or experimental in the purest sense, because all they did, they did it with a commercial appeal in mind. What they wanted to do was to experiment with the pop genre and making damn good songs while at it. as they were amazing songwriters too. What i find the most admirable about them is how all of their music can be enjoyed in a very superficial way, but also if you examine more closely their songs, you'll see too how much of a genius they were, though it also gives the chance to edglords to brand as merely generic pop.They had that balance of being extremely popular and having amazingly good music.
