Soft Machine is more rewarding than King Crimson.
I think it's also something you can hardly hear today.
Take this, every song is just perfect and i think Supper's ready is just astonishing how it just goes, like it's a perfect loop.

as much as i like elp its a lot of the band members just jerking off onto their instruments showing off how well they can play them. i get prog is like that in general but elp takes it to another level
that being said op if you havent already heard close to the edge you should listen to it, it's 10/10

Listen to this. It doesn't necessarily showcase all the elements of progressive rock but it's a damn fine album.
