>every sperg who's taken a few semesters of high school orchestra or is a low-rent performer for off-off-broadway piano bars constantly yells at people for not knowing music theory but can never actually put together an argument based on music theory, instead just chastising people for not being musicians
tl;dr: Why are musicians and music theorists the spergiest, stupidest experts?
>>73041041
Because it's anonymous and they don't have to take responsibility for any shit they say here, also a majority of the people here are children.
>>73041041
because the action of reading is edifying and so is educating yourself on history.
meanwhile you get nothing from listening to music.
>>73041071
those other boards are anonymous and don't have the same problem. i think musicians are just particularly egregiously stupid. or is the problem that no one in high school is told that they're gifted or an expert in a field besides orchestra kids who would otherwise kill themselves from overwhelming social isolation?
>>73041041
the only people on here who care about music theory have their own containment thread
>>73041095
Those other boards are much more niche than /mu/
music is the lowest artform

this
/lit/ has the same structuralists vs. post-structuralist and literature vs. not literature debates we do

theatre still exists tho

sad but true

I don't know, I noticed this as well. /mu/ seems to mostly be hobbyists who like to listen to music, but no matter how much you listen to music, it is still going to be difficult to analyze it well and you still will end up in a pretty subjective debate if there's any disagreement.

we have multiple threads like this everyday
