They just put out an excellent album under the name The New Year. If you think it's fair to call it basically the same band.

Bedhead is probably the worst slowcore band.

Not too often that I see someone say "holy shit" to a Bedhead album. I'm just glad it's not another Low or RHP thread. Listen through the rest of their discography and then listen to The New Year. Bedhead peaked at Transaction de Novo in my opinion.

transaction de novo is pretty good, beheaded was kinda subpar imo, but whatfunlifewas has been their masterpiece and the sound they consistently try to recapture, again, imo

Beheaded is the weakest Bedhead album, that's for sure, but I wouldn't go as far as calling it subpar. It's still a good slowcore album overall.

it's weird, after hearing death cab for cutie's track "the new year" it suddenly clicked how much they stole bedhead's sound/songwriting

there's something really warm and dynamic about the sound on bedhead albums
