Disclaimer: I'm the data science guy. I just say I do math, CS, or statistics because it's easier to explain. Basically, I like CS better than engineering because it feels like it has more options the deeper you get instead of less. In engineering you learn increasingly specific things that are harder to generalize. Math has plenty of options, but I'd recommend considering a math or statistics degree WITH CS. Look into data science though. There's a ton of jobs that pay well and the work is interesting. You can get into it with math, CS, statistics, analytics, or a data science degree.

I liked what I studied in college. Do I absolutely love what I am doing now? Honestly, I do not adore it but I still like it. I suppose I would like something a bit more hands-on but I get my fair share of that. I'm not sure what passion you think I should be chasing. I'm not some dreamy teen who wants to be a movie star or a business exec. I'm pretty fine where I am.
>>73009079
>>73009101 you guessed the college I went to so there's your answer, anon.

>>73009125
How convenient.
>>73009087
Actually it has to do with different ratios of white and grey matter. Also different iq distrubutions (men tend to either be greatly above or below the average iq, while women tend to be much closer to the middle)
>>73009105
your life sounds boring. mine probably isn't any better though
>>73009105
>I mean a lot of the people I graduated with had BAs in CS, Mathematics, Engineering etc.
That still doesn't put your BA in that list

How does that make your degree matter? Is that why you're tricking yourself into believing that?

Not at all, anon. It's called responding to your statement.
>>73009213
idk college students are a pretty diverse group of ppl.
some ppl want extremes out of life; if not the standard model of success, maybe a more absurdist individualist way of life that makes one feel like more than a cog in the social fabric.
>Environmental Science
>>73009327
Do you really think your degree is more important than any STEM degree?
>>73009010
>>73008245
why so insecure?
>>73004566
I took it literally just to learn the basics of managing my money, they don't teach you that shit in high school man
>>73009356
stem degrees aren't important period.
>>73009347
>maybe a more absurdist individualist way of life that makes one feel like more than a cog in the social fabric.
I get what you're saying. The work I do now is maybe a little too formal for my taste. I don't plan on doing this same work for too much longer. My girlfriend is from Singapore and I've been learning Malay. Who knows, there are some interesting opportunities in that area of Asia.
>>73009356
Not in the capacity you seem to be thinking of.
>economics

Oh boy, are you in for a surprise when you're actually gonna have to work for a living.

but the majority of people that we work under are people with an engineering BS and an MBA
>History

>>73010013
are you being retarded on purpose?
you work under business majors like i said.
>>73010042
that guy doesn't have a BS in engineering, and we both know you were going for people who majored in Business in undergrad
a ton of engineers get MBAs in later years, dummy.
Computer Science
Sam Hyde introduced me to this one
>>73010080
why would i link a ceo and care about undergrads. look its okay to be retarded.
>a ton of engineers get MBAs in later years, dummy.
wow because they know BUSINESS RULES EVERYTHING
>>73010096
okay so I can make more money than people dumb enough to major in business in undergrad, then get my MBA
how does that BTFO engineers again
>>73010117
>how does that BTFO engineers again
because to make more money you have to get into business :)
>>73010132
sounds good to me
i'll continue to laugh at people who didn't do STEM in undergrad
>>73010156
and business will continue to laugh at people who did stem in grad school :)

You've gotta be pretty fucking stupid to not be able to get a science/math degree
