I never got this answered yesterday: My turntable has a red and white RCA connection that acts as a built-in preamp. That's it. How do I connect this to a speaker and then to my MPC so I can both hear it AND record audio directly into my MPC? Thank you in advance for any suggestions you might have.

I don't have an MPC (used to really want one but then learnt it's all DAW based now) but got an Akai MPK25. Pretty good desu but way too small for me so getting an 49 or 61 key version in the future

Of course, for sample based hip-hop it is the holy grail. I doubt anyone still uses them for other genres, though maybe solely as a drum machine somebody with good money would have one in their set up.

near everything uses DAW now, especially Hip-Hop. Even old-school sounding beats are made on a computer. Only artists I can think who still use MPCs are people like Madlib and MF Doom, not that that is a bad thing, of course.
