Are Deftones nu-metal? Because if so then nu-metal. The best post grunge bands are Live and Foo Fighters and I only like 2 or 3 albums from each, where as I like all of Deftones discography

Post-grunge.
They have CKY, Audioslave, Filter, Shinedown, and tons of other semi-decent bands, while nu-metal is 100% crap.

Dude, Live released Mental Jewelry in 91 and their best album, Throwing Copper was 94. They were too early to be post-grunge.
I'd go nu-metal because Deftones, Incubus and early Korn.
