Nirvana used to be my favourite band but I never enjoyed the other grunge artists. In my opinion Nirvana's songs leaned more heavily towards punk than other bands at the time, especially some of the tracks from In Utero.

wrong, you just have to come to the realization that grunge was an anti-aesthetic through and through. calling it "tacky" means it was successful in that attempt
