Objectively which song is better
The Perfect Kiss 12''

Or
Temptation 12''

Also daily reminder that New Order > Joy Division
temptation
Both are inferior to their 7'' counterparts.
But I would say Temptation is probably better.

>Both are inferior to their 7'' counterparts
Temptations of all tracks inferior in 7'', what are you doing?
>>72880543
The 12'' version meanders too much. It's not as concise as the 7'' version. It inexplicably opens with the most affecting part of the song ("Oh you've got green eyes...") whereas the 7'' builds up to it with a satisfying climax.
>>72880620
The 7'' is missing the whole section around 3:20 which offers are far better build up. Also surely you can't deny the way "people in this world" etc is delivered in the closing is superior.
>>72880724
Eh, it would be if it built up to something besides just the normal chorus again.
>Also surely you can't deny the way "people in this world" etc is delivered in the closing is superior.
It's the one aspect I like about the 12''. But no, I still prefer the sentiment of "And I've never met anyone quite like you before"
Perfect Kiss 12" ≥most songs ever recorded

album reccs on New Order?
>>72880837
Honestly, their first five are all great. Most people consider Power, Corruption & Lies to be their best work, but I think Low-Life is just as good, and I like Movement even more than both (but I know I'm in the minority). Technique is often brought up as among their best as well. Brotherhood is....good, it just kind of gets overlooked.

Unironically true. it isn't even on spotify though which ruins my whole mobile listening setup.
>>72880837
Lowlife then Movement then Power Corruption & Lies then Brotherhood.
Also make sure you have the two disc versions because a lot of the gold comes on the bonus tracks like the 12''s
