Post-rock Talk Talk > Synthpop Talk Talk
Proof you're wrong
>>72867998
>Post-rock Talk Talk > Synthpop Talk Talk
no. synthpop talk talk is much better. it's my life, life is what you make it, living in another world are way better than anything on their post rock albums.
>>72867802
I agree 100% with you, OP.
Add Prog and Krautrock to that list and I'll agree with you even more.
>>72868130
those genres too. same for idm (despite the stupid name).
supporting this 100%, post-punk is the objective best genre

Progressive Rock
Krautrock
IDM/Electronica (and this one is very loose)
That's the GOAT list.

sue me
>>72868227
>IDM/Electronica (and this one is very loose)
that includes all the good stuff from autechre to underworld. there's a lot of good stuff under these tags.
>>72868227
>IDM/Electronica
nine times out of ten there is always a better genre descriptor than those wishy washy terms
>>72868270
examples?
>>72868227
>That's the GOAT list.
i think classical deserves to be here too. and you're set for life.
>>72868295
A majority of music that fall under those terms would be either techno, house or breakbeat, of which there are numerous sub genres to each. Some "IDM" may also be glitch, ambient or industrial.
To use a pretty ubiquitous example, Aphex Twin's stuff ranges from ambient techno (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LGC90fmf8gw), jungle (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ipDhMIfZYiY), acid techno (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jmYL4aNGJHE), industrial techno (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o4TDFEu6TW0) and ambient (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_AWIqXzvX-U), among other such genres
>>72868407
anon, those are specific tags for a smaller subset of electronic music. how do you call something like underworld in a single descriptor?
>Aphex Twin's stuff ranges from...
that's the problem. how do you avoid naming all those genres and say it just one term to include all that?

rythmic harsh noise>*

no thanks. i dislike this crap.
