ITT: Things talentless people say
>He's too mechanical, there's no soul in his playing
that's a legitimate criticism. those guitar contest with autists playing obscure scales in erratic rhythms are boring as fuck to watch unless you yourself fall into that category

The sheer wanking of Van Halen is the best example I can think of. Aside from that I love technical shit. If it has purpose it keeps the composition interesting, but if technique is the only point then you're basically playing hard but boring etudes.

>but they're talented

technicality can be compsitionally tasteless, and if it is, it doesn't matter how well it's played it's still shit
This post reminded me of this really cringy video I just watched called "Every type of guitarist at guitar center"
https://youtu.be/eNLL_SyXNJA
Everything on this dudes channel is pretty cringe to be honest.

I forget the exact meaning of the word and I'm having troubling googling something to find information on just the letter "t". But basically it means "written by".
So if someone's like "There is no God and anyone who thinks so is an idiot", someone might sarcastically write "t. neckbeard", like "Obviously you are a neckbeard and everyone can tell by the content of your post"
