What is the most bizarre and esoteric "music" that you unironically enjoy listening to?
>>
Venetian Snares though I think this is hardly even scraping the bottom of the barrel
>>
Not remotely bizarre by /mu/ standards, just normalfag, but I greatly enjoy Oneohtrix Point Never and Autechre.
>>
>>72858113
Lots of ambient and drone shit, I guess. I love Earth 2, that has to be up there.

I also like Prurient's Frozen Niagara Falls and Gorguts' Obscura a lot.
>>
Shit quality psychedelic rock demos from a guy with schizophrenia who used to be the drummer for a semi obscure punk band
>>
>>72858113
bizarre and esoteric according to whom? normies?
>>
>>72858188
Oh, sad to hear it's now entered normalfag territory, good picks though.
>>
Not really too bizarre, but Jandek has been my favorite artist for like 4 or 5 years now

>>

>>

More bizarre answer would be Jerry Solomon, who's also actually kind of good once you get a taste for it. I also like To Live And Shave In LA ok. Five Starcle Men on the other hand, are a bit too shitty... but also really strange
>>

Earth 2
good choice

Not too bizarre, especially by /mu/ standards, but

>comus
>throbbing gristle
>this heat

Normies would cringe hard if I put any of this on, but it's all pretty commonly spoken about on /mu/, so I guess it really isn't bizarre. All the other shit I listen to is practically normie tier.

Obviously never heard a full NSB album.
I've heard way more obscure shit, but I don't enoy it. It just falls into derivative or memey, boring bullshit like New Complexity after a certain point. NSB and its side projects are obscure and left fieldish enough to be hard to discover, while not being horrible bullshit that serves no purpose but to make the listener feel smug.
>>
>>72863531
It's very droney I wouldn't really say that, sorta weird compared to a lot of stuff out there

Doesn't surprise me honestly. I like his music, but he doesn't really get to be that way especially when his fans donated so much to him when he asked for it.

Lowest I go is occasionally lowercase, but I like noise as well.

I'm a pretty normal guy, so for me the post-rock stuff I listen to is already way too much for the people I hang with. I played them Lift Yr Skinny Fists when we were all high and me and a buddy pretended we were throwing/catching the game winning touchdown in the super bowl during the first big crescendo. I listen to swans and death grips and very much enjoy both and never speak of it to my friends. Compared to you guys I'm pretty pleb

Listen to a lot of performance art/sound art kind of stuff. John Duncan, Alvin Lucier, William Basinski. I listen to a ton of noise/noise rock. Gerogerigegege is pretty out there even though they're popular on /mu/

I saw Flying Lotus at a grocery store in Los Angeles yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything.
He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?”
I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying.
The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.
When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.
