Not exactly what you requested but you'd probably like Katatonia in general if you like Halmstad. Their first album, Dance of December Souls, has some black metal influence but they're definitely a noteworthy act in the depressive metal sphere. Hell, Shining actually covered them.

The album this is from, Tonight's Decision, is probably the best jumping off point from Halmstad, though Last Fair Deal Gone Down or Discouraged Ones could also be good. In general it's all good, though their last few have been in more of a progressive rock vein.

That album is kinda unique in its sound. Very progressive for DSBM. You should check out Hypothermia, maybe Lifelover and Forgotten Tomb. Also what this guy said>>72840363
