Literally the only relevant rock artist even though he's mediocre. If he died this year or became a member of the 27 club he'd be immortalized as the artist of this generation.

he's such a little shit, but I honestly find myself singing his melodies in my head all the goddamn time. Even songs that didn't strike me as that great I start humming, drawing the melody out a bit in my own head and uncovering it a bit more. He's tapped into something for sure.

I thought the song "Still Beating" off the new record was a throwaway track. Then I started humming it all week, for example.
Same with "Another One", it's so simple yet so sticky.

His lyrics are pretty much trash though. He uses the same phrases over and over:

- my girl
- baby
- cry

Pick any microgenre and start fucking around on bandcamp and you'll find that there are more worthwhile releases in that genre than you can possibly keep up with. Jesus, how are people so bad at music in 2017?
