>>
>>72792680
>What's the best place to start with A Place To Bury Strangers?
Either of their first two albums probably. They're not difficult to get into if you're already into shoegaze. Haven't heard their other two albums yet but apparently they're kind of a letdown.

Their s/t album is pretty good I guess but Exploding Head is easily one of, if not the best modern shoegaze album I've ever heard. Like JAMC with a lot more energy and anger.

good luck with your choice making tho

nah

I'm looking forward to the break more than ever before in my life desu

not really just because of the stress (though yes that is a part of it) but idk this school year was really shitty and we all just kinda want it to end

Haven't heard any of their solo work yet but I've been meaning to for a while. I know Feist has a new album out and my buddy tells me Kevin Drew's solo stuff is incredible too.

Their first one Feel Good Lost is also super underrated. Not quite on the level of the next two but if you like ambient post-rock type stuff it's really unique and charming

>>72794914
You're right that I've already heard Post and CRCR and you're right that they're great albums. I wish I could dig Pavement a little more though, on paper they have everything I love to hear in bands but they're never the first thing I reach for I guess

Electro Shock Blues has been on my list for a while though. I'll definitely give it a listen.

Gang of Four/DFA1979/The Sound are also great. You should listen to Bloc Party, their album Silent Alarm is to Gang of Four what Turn On The Bright Lights is to Joy Division/The Chameleons. They kinda only do one sound but they do it crazy well. I've been looking for more dance-punk stuff lately but I just keep coming back to that one

I need to give silent alarm more attention. I loved that album in middle school and I know it still holds up. I also really like their album Four for some reason, I know its trash but theres some charm to it. Dance punk is a great genre but I feel like I have a lot of trouble finding dance punk artists
