Their stuff is all over the map so that's hard and it depends how much you enjoy ambient or drone type music, if you can't stand long stretches of crazy noise some of their stuff is not gonna be very listenable. My favs go as follows:

1. The Snowbringer Cult (i think this is the best rounded of their releases covering the most ground with the least amount of excess, will post shortly)
2. Dance Of The Moon And The Sun
3. Tie between Shadow Kingdom and When Stars Glide Through Solid (twinsistermoon solo project also coming shortly. Definitely the best offering on the folkier end of the spectrum, where shadow kingdom has some of the band's most impressive and immense soundscapes)
4. I Dream Of Drone, title should speak for itself if you dig that sort of thing it's a masterpiece

Most of their new stuff I don't like that much / just don't have the time for, although The Ladder is decent. Other releases I have enjoyed particularly are: The Hollow Mountain, Bride Of The Spirits, Daughter Of Darkness, Night Coercion, and Song for Laurie Bird

Anybody know bands with a similar sound? I've been recommended stuff like Grouper, Six Organs, Spires That In The Sunset Rise, and The Goner but none of this really has the same effect on me as NSB. If anybody listens to Espers or Trees those both kind of have the sound I'm looking for, like really beautiful almost medieval sounding lyrics. It's hard to describe but some psych folk just has this sound to it...
