My resolution this year is to listen to 1000 albums. Post stuff for me to check out.

The 2-4 new albums a day. Plus having to relisten to each at least 2-4 times to actually understand it.

Now unironically listening to this. I genuinely like this song.

Listening now

Yeah, I aim for 4 but there are some days I can't listen to any. That's why it's so useful to have a large amount of stuff to get through already downloaded. If I do get some time I can instantly put something on rather than faffing about.

Downloading
Prolly too late if you're talking about this year unless you're a NEET. Try next year but heres some reccs anyway.
If you listen to more than 4 albums a week just fucking admit your pleb status

This might seem like I'm trying to make your life a little harder, but it's actually more patrician if you have it on while you're sleeping.

The Autocollants - Why Couldn't Things Just Stay The Same (Indie pop/ lo-fi). Sample: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sjl9Ki5Nutc&list=PLZOhwuaQigzbi_G8dCOb3QwoA33KZjugP
Its a pretty short album around the 30-minutes mark though I really don't understand how you'll remember half the albums that you plan on listening to, and you don't want to force yourself into bands like Big Black and Talking Heads and not be able to appreciate it, the first listen is always important.

Yeah, there are downsides but it's a fun experiment and I'm not a little bitch who quits 4 months in. Besides, I can still listen to albums multiple times, both this year and in following years. It's only 2.8 album per day or something, which isn't even that many.
Thanks for all the recs, I will listen to all of them (as long as they aren't meme length)

Do you have a list of what you've tried so far? I would hate to recommend something you've already tried.
Orgy - candyass
I average 100 albums a month.
Little tip, get into Jazz.
Old Blue Note bebop albums are usually 5-7 tracks averaging 1/2 an hour running time.
Shoild help you hit a thou. before the year's over.
