I'm proud of liking this album, it proves how far metal has evolved from shitty riff wanking and pointless shouting to actual music.
This album is a marvelous mix of the beautiful genres of dream pop and noise pop (aka. Shoegaze if you will), with such an ugly and depressing genre like raw black metal
This is obviously the next step of metal, this will change all and finally metal can become something less cringy and socially acceptable.
If you don't like this album you are a cringy, fedora tipping, basement dweller who spents all day shitting on actual musicians and artists, with your catchprase, MUH TRVE CVLT METAL

Too indie, thus, not metal

This board is like a time capsule. Has anything actually changed here since 2014?

>Has anything actually changed here since 2014?
idk it's mostly been the same shit
i think rap gets even less respect than before, but that's the only difference
What happened with Stephen? I'm seeing a different bassist on their new live sets? This was a good chuckle btw:

Am I the only one who prefers New Bermuda?
>>72740486
New Bermuda is just as good, honestly, maybe even better. You're not alone.

Unironically i agree, great post senpai
I love their material, but what the fuck are they doing? George's highs have gotten far worse and he favors using lows much morenow, and Kerry's getting fatter with each set. Shiv and Daniel are still holding sway though.
>>72740486
I do too.
>>72740044
I'm not a fan of the singer but i enjoy similar bands. Metal that makes you feel is simply the only metal worth listening to.
>>72741465
But there's more than one kind of feel...often a good metal band will make you feel proud or powerful too...even feeling mischievous is a feeling. I'm assuming you're talking about sad feels.
>>72740044
funny that this caught the attention of so many people new to music really.
the same sound has existed for like 10 years prior.
