Go to /lit/ and read, read books, read poems and analyze why they are good. Ask youself, what makes these good? Why do I like them? After you do this for about 4 years you should be able to write.

Study MF Doom, Kendrick, Eminem, Lupe Fiasco, Mick Jenkins. Listen to how they build their bars and how they interplay words together to create a picture and maintain flow.

I dislike all of them. I don't want to be a storyteller, I hate storytelling in music.
I'm not impressed by literary techniques in hip-hop and I don't care how many times one person can rhyme with one word.

I want to be like Kanye West, with simple but profound and heartfelt lyrics.
But every time I try to write about my emotions it doesn't feel real. They're my thoughts and opinions, but it feels like I'm writing for someone else.
