What do you mean it was covering the song with your laptop mic? Like your guitar was muffling your voice?
Sea Song by Robert Wyatt. Give it to me straight - do I suck? Might record the 'little brown broom' bit too, make use of my accent.

Oh I've heard this it's just been a long time. I'd do something but I don't have a mic and I dont sing but i play piano. The best I have are recordings from 4 years ago

Worked thanks.
I think you have a good voice and you could cover that song nicely if you backed it up with an instrument to match your voice too. I can baely sing with out guitar or piano

/fa/ memes
because they used to be to stereotype people who wear certain things
mfw I like to sing to myself, but can't stand when I hear my voice played back to me.

The Band Played Waltzing Matilda. Probably best not listen if you're suicidal.

Thanks very much anon. Unfortunately I can't play anything, planning to learn guitar over the summer though (have been working full-time for years but back at uni and have time to fill).
>>72708641
I'm on the same path as you, except I just graduated college, and using my free time to work/learn guitar
Last one. I like to think my voice does justice to Bob Dylan.

Not bad OP.
>>72708872
I was actually meant to say that. I thought that when i listened to the OP.
I'm pretty shit at guitar and this was recorded through my shitty laptop mic, but here ya go

My voice was tired by the time I did the lead takes but it doesn't matter because it's 20 seconds of a Beach Boys song I recorded in audacity just to autistically jack off over the sound of my own voice singing it without any serious intention of improving it or doing the rest of the song.

Sorry to say mate you sound tone deaf. I'd keep working on the guitar as I've not much hope for your voice.
>>72710199
Very nice.
>>72710199
did you record each voice independantly or did you use a chorus plugin thing for some?
Anyway, sounds p gud

Just pretty meh

Recorded each track independently. Each voice is double tracked (by myself, just sung twice). There are no effects (no reverb, chorus) and no pitch or time correction. Used a snowball usb mic. The quality is lowered and mixed into mono by vocaroo, it seems.
I use generate click track and tone in audacity as a metronome and tuner, then sing along to those only. Usually an hour or two of redoing takes till I can get them as in tune and on time as you hear on that. Doesn't help that it's 5 voices (x2 each)
I also don't have a great ear for chords/harmonies using more than 2-3 voices, so I can only do this when I can find free transcriptions.
Here's a shitty song that I wrote. Its basically a Deathconsciousness ripoff but here ya go

I made a joke cover of Van Halen - Jump a few days ago, it seems appropriate for this thread. Tell me what you'd think of my singing and if you'd be as pissed at me as my friends are during karaoke

I lied, in a sentimental mood so here's a melancholic Scots-Canadian folk song.
