This album would have been an absolute classic if it wasn't for the production. It beats Kill 'em All any day of the week.
What do you mean by production? Probably a stupid question but I've never really known what people meant when they say that.

Mixing of the instruments once everything is recorderd. Death Magnetic also had a terrible drum sound. not like St. Anger "Terrible" (I loved St. Anger).

Find the rip from Metallica Guitar Hero game, it actually has a good mix.

Cool I see what you mean now, gonna listen to DM again with that in mind.

One of the worst opinions I've ever seen on this board. Considering that there are people here who like Neutral Milk Hotel, Animal Collective, Grimes, and Young Thug that says A LOT.
I loved it when it first came out, but honestly, it doesn't hold up. Great opening track, great closer as well, but it falls flat after a few listens. It has plenty of lyrical cringe moments.

I like the production/mix. Sounds sharp, powerful to me.
It doesn't beat Kill 'Em All in any way tho.

yeah the songs are great but the production is crap but it doesn't beat Kill Em All, t's a scaruffi 8/10 for christ's sake
Why the fuck did they leave Rebel of Babylon off the album?

*and the production...

>thinking and AnCo and NMH are bad just because they're memes
God this board keeps getting more cancerous each day
It's funny that Beyond Magnetic is from the same recording sessions and had 10x better production
It actually sounds like an old-school Rubin production
yeah it's a good album. kinda drags on at points but absolutely ruined by production. man what the fuck are they thinking with that kinda shit.

>people defend AnCo and NMH
I agree this board is getting worse
