Nah the only point of connection between what Varg and the rest of the 2nd wave pioneers(not even all of them, but arguably most) were doing was that dedication to minimalism and rawness/nakedness in performance and production.
Aside from that, the Burzum records definitely stick out as being a lot more cerebral and impressionistic than the rest. The way that Varg just lets the music breathe for itself and works almost more as a conduit for it than as a direct performer is what gives the whole thing its power in the first place.
