Exmilitary is literally their only good album.

I'll probably always like Exmilitary the most, because it was the first I listened to, and because I don't feel like skipping any of the songs when I play it.

I hope they either ditch the live instruments for the next album, or do something interesting with them. I think they've lost some complexity ever since they started using guitars and bass.

The exception would be Hot Head, I think moving towards a sound like that could be interesting, and I don't mean the use of hyper fast vocal samples they do at the start, more the way Zach's drumming is textured alongside Ride's vocal performance.

They already proved they can pull a sound like this off on "More Than a Fairy" which has really cool use of that bass with Zach playing off it in this really impressive way. Only uninspired part of that song is probably the distorted synth that plays during the hook, never did much for me.

I hope they take their time. I just want something with meat to it, I don't want another straight forward banger album.

I think Bottomless Pit (the track) is a much more satisfying echo to leave off on than Death Grips 2.0
if On GP was the final track from JD I'd be more inclined to agree but BP as an album sounds like an actual swan song, a culmination of everything they've done up to that point as one of the most prominent and influential bands of the 2010s. It feels like an encore of an album, and the closer sounds like it was truly meant to be their last song in their catalog. I hope that turns out to be the case, at least.
Death Grips have made several near-perfect albums in my opinion, I wouldn't mind them giving the name a rest for now.

None of the cut songs are bad but this makes it infinitely more focused. Place Big House right after Pillbox to make the most of its tension-building intro.
