I saw Kanye West at a grocery store in Los Angeles yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything.

When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

Talked to Jon Hopkins at a festival. Just told him how great I thought Immunity and his set was, he was nice enough to say he appreciated it.

Hung out with Twin Peaks several times, they were pretty chill (we have a mutual friend). Also hung out with Chance the Rapper before. He was pretty cool but he got on my nerves after a while tbqh senpai. Talked to Skywlkr after I recognized him walking around P4K music festival. Very humble. Vic Mensa came to my highschool once (he used to go there), didn't really talk to him though. That's all I can remember. I feel like I've met some more musicians, but they aren't coming to me at this moment.

Nick is probably the warmest and most welcoming one when it comes to meeting fans. He seemed super enthused to talk to fans and he gave everyone a chance to talk to him and ask him questions. He told me the whole story behind The Strokes' Nardwuar interview.

Nikolai is pretty awkward. He doesn't say much, but he seems like an overall nice guy.

Talked to Daveed shortly and bought his record in front of him, I was so nervous but he's a really nice person, I love him. Even my mom loves him.

With Jinx I was walking around Seattle and saw her inside of a little store in Capitol Hill and said hi and took a picture with them and I felt like I was annoying to them.

Then Lapfox I saw at a bustop in Seattle and gave him a hug and told him I've been listening to their music for years. I was really excited to see them, they were surprisingly short in person. This is probably going to get buried, but here goes: In the Summer of 2014, U2's latest tour came through Milwaukee and Bono was at the airport about to fly out and I had just flown in from LAX. I could see him surrounded by a bunch of 12 year old redneck boys and their mothers, so I made my way over to him and I go up and say something like "Hi Bono, my Mom's a really big U2 fan and was at your concert last night. Could you sign you autograph for her?" He looks me dead in the eye and says "Fat chance, college boy" and walks off. Then all of a sudden local news crews start filming him and he's acting all nice in front of them with this little girl for about 5 minutes and he gives her his "lucky" guitar pick. I go up with a pen and paper and again try to get his autograph. This time Bono gets in my face and tells me to "Piss off or I will shove that fucking pen up you're asshole, ya cunt!"in a deep Irish accent and then he spat in my face. I've smoked with El-P and Killer Mime before they were Run the Jewels. Got a drink with them after, they were cool. 2 Chainz is one of the funniest people I've met., he's just a goofy dude. He's a nice guy. I smoked with Skrillex on a tour bus (technically it was our tour bus) and he had some truly amazing weed. I got stoned as fuck while I tried to keep my shit together while he played some music he was working on off his laptop. Adventure Club, don't know if you know them but I hung out with him, smoked. Met Dream Theater when I was a kid, they weren't assholes but they weren't very friendly either, just signed my poster without saying anything and posed for a picture without smiling. Petrucci was the exception, he was very nice and told me to keep going with guitar playing (I told him he was my biggest guitar inspiration or some speech shit).
I understand being tired after a show and not wanting to deal with a bunch of fans, but there were 10-15 of us tops and we'd waited in the cold for an hour. The least you can do is say hey for a couple minutes.

Met a ton of metal musicians, the majority of them are very nice and appreciative of fans.
Indie musicians are usually nice enough but can be pretentious and too good for you.
