Its just inconsistent and not as good as the rest of their discography
The interludes dont really work well, so the "party to the end of the world" narrative does not really step up the album.
But mainly it doesnt feel gorillaz, it feels like damon with collaborators. Something that the rest of the albums, with their kind of story telling mixed with the animations they brought to the table, achieved to hide and made a "band feel" that this album (but specially the fall) doe not have.
