Dont know if this is being discussed here but the flow of DAMN. in reverse and the themes played in the opposite order feels a lot better than the original order.
Thoughts?
The transition from FEAR to XXX and also the callback on YAH are great. Also both LOYALTY, LOVE and HUMBLE don't feel as out of place when listened to in reverse. The way it flows in reverse is so much better it's ridiculous
There was another theory about cutting it basically in half skipping by one, then listening to the second one in reverse, but I think that it takes that too far.

Listening to this now
Don't know if I believe the theory, but man those transitions are much better.
Also the beginning of the official video for DNA starts with YAH playing

Oops nevermind that transition from HUMBLE to PRIDE is actually painful. It's a bust for me bois
So, the tl;dr is that the DAMN. is a concept album that can be listened to in reverse order for the opposite thematic effect?

yes
It seems like the Fox News clip at the end of BLOOD which would close the album in this reverse order might represent the way the media tries to portray black men in an unfavorable light after they're killed, since it comes right after Kendrick dies (which, as BLOOD would be the last track, would serve as a kind of fucked up obituary or something)?
I don't know if that's remotely true but either way the thematic fluidity that remains when you reverse the track order seems very intentional.
Stop trying to pretend this album is deeper than it is.
