Yeah it's got a pretty timeless sound thanks to the producer. Reckoning and Chronic Town are like this too.

I can't get into Fables because it's too much of a production quality dropoff from the previous albums. Pageant is better, but it's still not on the same level.

Definitely feels a bit dryer but I don't find much fault in it. The songs themselves had to grow on me though, mostly the second side.
