unfortunately all the R&B "similar" to The Weeknd's mixtapes is boring OVO/Toronto sounding "vibe" music. Just slow, moody, atmospheric trap music with uninteresting vocals about sex and shit. It's alright for what it's worth, but none of them I find are as interesting as the mixtapes.

I love this trend of 'alternative RnB', or whatever you want to call it.

I find The Weeknd to be overrated outside of House of Balloons though and I think Miguel is genuinely great.
