Can't really say for certain about studio albums but live, Bongripper is heavier than Conan, I've seen them at the same venue. Conan was great, but Bongripper was like getting pulled by a horse while you're 6 feet under sludge

I've seen Bongripper twice. The first time I saw them was at an outdoor festival and literally the second they started playing there was already a cloud of smoke over the entire audience. They're both really great live though, seeing Conan again next month

What are Conan's vocals like live? The live videos I've found on youtube have been underwhelming, at least vocally. But good live doom can't be captured, you've gotta be there.

Didnt think they were bad at all, granted it was a couple years ago and I was probably more focused on the riffs but I can recall the experience being the opposite of underwhelming.

Glad to hear it. I was a little worried cause the vocals on their albums are always amazing, but I thought it might partially be studio trickery. Seeing them in Chicago, its gon be fun.
