Compared to other "classics" from that time period it aged pretty terribly
The whole album is fantastic. The theme of the album is somebody suffering from heroin addiction, and almost every song is about ecstasy from drugs but also the unbearable reality and lonlieness it brings. The final song, one of the greatest tracks in modern music, is actually titled "Cop, Shoot, Cop". If you really think only the first song is good, try listening to it again.
