>when someone uses "boring" as a criticism and nothing else
Ok but there are some situations where boring is the ONLY way to describe something. For instance, The National.

But WHY is it boring
>>72450669
Because nothing interesting happens. You might just like boring music.

But there's a lot of interesting stuff happening in The National's music.

Boring thread
I mean by virtue of something being boring it can't compel me to think on it - but I know the feeling OP, it's a particularly damning criticism for someone to glibly dismiss something you're into as boring.
That's the exact criticism I use against this album.
Although I don't condone it, I do use it to describe things I had zero interest into, and had nothing noteworthy going on. Like the last Gas album. It didn't make me feel anything other than boredom. I hardly remember anything about it.

What would you rate that album on a scale from 1 to 10?
>>72451478
That says more about your musical illiteracy than anything else
>>72451506
I wouldn't
>>72451518
Sure
>>72451165
Don't ask me.

You know that's not how it works right? If you're gonna do mental gymnastics, at least do it right.

>You know that's not how it works right?
Why not?
If there's a problem, there's a solution. If you can't answer the later, then there was no problem to begin with.
Scaruffi uses boring. It's a legitimate criticism, you cry baby.

He's not a legitimate critic
