Some of the lyrics bother me because they just dont mean anything at all. But it has some great moments.

it's succinct, fun, and uses interesting instrumentation, as well as having good lyrics. none of it's very ambitious but that wasn't really in Pixies' ethos, it's just well written and fun music that they managed to make a bit more interesting that a typical 4/4 rock ballad, and there are few Pixies songs that do it so well

The vocals are soothing and the song is cute as fuck with some solid guitarlines.

I can't wrap my head around how people think this is a bad album. Do they perceive it as entry level music? Or is it because it relies on hooks and guitar riffs?

Doolittle is as inventive as pop music gets in my opinion.
