>tfw 23 and can't grow out of System of a Down
>I'm talking Mezmerize/Hypnotize SOAD
is there any hope for me? Does anyone else still listen to them?
They're a good band, I still like them

I see nothing wrong with that
Hahaha I can't see the problem! =)
s/t is the only album of theirs I still regularly listen to
i actually appreciate all their albums, though there's distinct stylistic epochs between the first three and the last two. i still love them. sure, there's more sophisticated music but they had that crazy energy, it's no coincidence they got really big.
are they still together? i'm afraid they're gonna put out something that's shit and they'll be another band that used to be good.
i remember being an 8 year old kid reading about the armenian genocide because of them
wew
im got a little sick of hypnotize and mezmerize but the first three are fucking great and now i feel like listening to them
Yeah my friend got me into them about a year ago. I think that they're honestly when of the more mature straight "metal" bands. I love serg's silly, powerful voice that doesn't take itself too seriously, even if he is an amazing singer. I love daron's almost amateurish low guitar work. And I love the drum and bass groves
Don't feel bad about liking something anon
I still listen to them.

You're doomed dude
For a lot of people I know and myself, they're that band now that you like, don't seek out specifically for listening, but won't turn them off if they come on.

exactly this.
There is literally NOTHING wrong with listening to shitty bands that you feel nostalgia for. Prove me wrong.
