What the fuck is this album cover?
It's driving me insane. Every time I think I've got it figured out it makes less sense
I can't sleep until somebody explains to me what it is I'm looking at here
Please help
what the fuck
it's two burnt waffles 69ing on a hotel bed

>it's two burnt waffles 69ing on a hotel bed
holy fucking kek
For starters, it's a theme in their album covers
>>72400461
it is like trying to look through corrugated glasses at a tarped commodity
A crushed Nutter Butter Peanut Butter Sandwich Cookie
Here's what I'm pulling from this picture:
-There are two shapes reaching out for each other in what appears to be a tender way. I'm looking at this as David Longstreth and Amber Coffman. Also they could be speech bubbles. If that's the case, one is constantly saying the other, which could imply some kind of cyclical or dependent relationship.
-These shapes are on bed sheets, and I don't think that's insignificant when you consider the nature of the material DP has put out in the past. To me that seems to imply that the album is personal for these two shapes in particular.
-The pattern on the shapes is a wood structure of some kind? Ceiling maybe? Hard to tell and no real insight for me.
That's all I've got, having not listened to the album.

That's a nice sentiment but I was literally just asking wtf I'm looking at
>>72400901
tldr; impressionistic bullshit. Two textured blobs on bed sheets.
Isn't it just a shoe sole on cloth?
>>72400461
it is an oddly shaped mirror, resting on a black sheet, reflecting a wooden soundproofing ceiling
>>72400933
Soundproof ceilings aren't made up of little chambers small enough to reverb. That doesn't dampen sound. That would be a terrible soundproof ceiling.
>>72400991
That kind of stuff is to prevent echo and improve recording quality. Soundproofing is only achieved by literally building a second wall or ceiling. Empty space is the most efficient sound proofing material.

it was on his instagram. two mirrors facing ceiling rafters.

i was just guessing why the ceiling would look like that. but that's the ceiling.
