this album is almost entirely a ripoff of the Funkadelic and Parliament albums of the 70s

it's like thinking that (band you liked when you were young) started some amazing, brilliant sound until you find the people who did it decades prior and it makes you sad

One of my favorite albums of last year. I still go back to it frequently and enjoy it.

Huge fan of funk and soul music. Grew up on it for the majority of my life. While yeah this album does ripoff and copy from Funkadelic, Prince, Sly & the Family Stone, War, etc. I feel that Gambino does a good enough job of replicating those sounds and vibes on this album that I let it slide and still enjoy the album.
