Most of the music you think of as "electronic" is actually "EDM". That includes stuff like Zedd but also Aphex Twin, Flying Lotus, Coil, and Kraftwerk
There is also "electronic music" that isn't explicitly dance music like the above artists, such as Fennesz, and Stockhausen. This form of music existed before EDM. Glad I could clear that up for you guys/girls!
