this is pretty good actually
i thought it'd be a critical trainwreck due to the vulnerability of the singles that were being released, but everything is eclectic and its indulgence in maximalism is something i've yet to see on a mainstream level. it's one of the many forward-thinking pop albums i've seen come out of this year and the last.
my only query is that this didn't sound like "gorillaz" at one point. and i mean that in the sense that sometimes it didn't feel like the "members" were doing their thing, it just felt like like drum machines, leads/pads, and 2D.
upon closer inspection i can see that every single "member" has improved drastically. it's a step forward for them in my opinion.

There's only one track I consider bad, so yeah I'd say go ahead and jump in. I'd wait until release though, the rip is really bad

Eh, I don't mind Popcaan, it may be an acquired taste. He's the most abrasive thing on the album imo, so that's a plus, you won't have to deal with anything worse

I can't say I've listened to his music before, but that feature wasn't particularly flattering. Again, could be the recording, the mix sounds really muddy. Just going to wait for the official.
