Not gonna lie, I used to be like that when I was 14 at my metal phase.

/mu/ posts this sort of thing all the time but i don't think i've ever met someone who listens to these sorts of bands and talks like this irl. maybe when i was 16, but like most of /mu/ i'm 23... how is anyone in their early 20s meeting anyone this obnoxious?

in general if someone mentions liking nirvana or bowie it'll either lead to a nice chit chat about their work, or trail off into nothing depending on how much they know. i certainly can't imagine a scenario where someone starts autistically barking classic rawk namedrops at me. it's like you guys just hang out at r/music all day looking for reasons to be mad
