Agreed. i'm sorta surprised at how my moods change. not really a fan of most modern rap and I felt that way at first about the singles. Literally all it took to change my mind was saying "what's wrong with a catchy hook and a good beat?" However, lookin at the lyrics to ascension and let me out, while a little politically heavy handed, its got heart. Like, an album is a complete story and each song is tells a different part of it, and you can listen to them separately if you want, but you aren't getting the complete picture. Some albums are better than others for this. Well, this went about as expected. Busted and Blue was decent, everything else is a throwaway. Most of this actually makes Hallelujah Money sound like a breath of fresh air in context and it's awful that that is one of the better songs on this thing when I was initially dreading its inclusion. Plastic Beach was erring on too pop for my tastes but this pushes it way too far for me.

Their past albums were so tight, but this one feels unfinished even. I feel like the only track with a catchy hook is Momentz.
