Why does everyone say this is Kendrick's worst album? I

This isn't better than GKMC but it's definitely better than DAMN.

I think it is better than GKMC. I never understood why everyone loves Money Trees so much, for instance. Kendrick's vocals on that song are just so lazy and his flow is so bad. It's a big contrast when you hear Jay Rock actually spit good bars

his flow and delivery is suppose to flow with the production, his voice is almost like an instrument so to me it's effective

but yes Jay Rock definitely killed that song as the featured Rapper but Kendrick killed Maad City where he has top-tier delivery and flow, also in Blacker the Berry and DNA

he's going for a more understated disposition to fit his more jazzy production nowadays, love it or hate it, personally if its done well like in Money Trees i really love it but he can still bring out Hiiipower Kendrick for bangers, he's pretty versatile

I like Fuck Your Ethnicity, Keisha's Song, Ronald Reagen Era, Rigamortis and Hol' Up (it's a dumb but fun song). That's like, half the album, the other half isn't amazing, with some songs like Tammy's Song and No Makeup being awful. I agree with the common idea it's his worst album, but hey, it was his first real album.

I like Keisha's Song as I said >>72284287 here I just forgot to include it on the list when typing out my post. Keisha's Song is one of the more memorable songs of the album IMO but maybe that's because of Sing About Me

It's better then most rap albums but every project after it is objectively superior.

Some of the individual songs are pretty good, but as an overall album it falls short of his other work. Though I will say that I enjoyed Section 80 more than DAMN
