>>72186762

So are metal, indie, memerap/trap, and waifupop though
EDM was a thing in 2013 that started with Avicii that lasted until 2015. Now it's being mixed with Hip-hop. Trap was a result of the dubstep scene with the drops and flashy production.

>that lasted until 2015
So Young Thug and Co. are headlining EDC and Ultra this year are they?
As much as people will deny it, this board is defined by what Pitchfork and Fantano hype.
Ever since the initial metal era, the hyped albums on this board have always been defined by those 2.
If they start championing EDM, so will /mu/

You know what I mean, EDM was more popular a few years ago and Trap or Hip-Hop took alot of the elements that made EDM popular, even Skrillex the champion of normie EDM started producing a bunch of rap songs. Even Ultra while not featuring those Artists will have alot of songs with Hip-hop verses.
