Oblivion has exactly the right duration and that repeated psychedelic loop on the second half is as long as it should. Visions was the moment I believe where Grimes found an actual identity in music with a blend of witch house, electronic and pop music in a variety of tempos and beats that work well together seamlessly from beginning to end.

Art Angels is where that stopped. Instead she fully caves in and goes completely 'alt-pop' for what i can only assume is marketability to a wider audience and the album itself just kinda sucks, it has its hits and misses but its not a enjoyably flowing experience. It's a 6/10 on its best day.

I hope all the Art Angels posting is just memes because its the worst album she's done yet and she's not good enough to me to be held up in such high regard. Maybe if she made an album like Visions but better I would think so, but that era of Grimes is dead.
