>paying more than $50 for headphones ever
I really hope you guys don't do this.
you realize that all that "audiophile" shit is a big marketing meme, right?
>paying more than $50 for sex ever
I really hope you guys don't do this.
you realize that all that "high class escort" shit is a big marketing meme, right?
A good pair of $250 earphones (I use senns hd25 i IIs) is about 20-30% better than a good pair of $50 earphones, which in an audiophile's consideration would be an absolute trashing. If you have a DAC there's no reason to be spending anything less than $100 on headphones. Worth the money as long as you're not getting Bose or Beats

>buying a DAC at all
>still spending more than $50 on headphones
>paying an extra $200 for a highly subjective and variable """"quality increase""""
you fell for the memes dude
>>72128557
quit trying to feel better about being poor and make an effort to change your life instead, then you too can have a quality audio experience
>>72128731
I'd rather not help you spread false knowledge. Good headphones are coveted by particular people, if you're comfortable with the sound you're getting then stick with what you have. But that's almost never the case the second you hear something better.

>implying i'm poor
>implying i'm a retard who wastes money for nothing

Good headphones have better separation of instruments which makes the music easier to break down and analyze, which is helpful if you're a musician looking to nick something. If you're not trolling you're not listening to music very deeply which is OK but kind of pathetic if you're on this board
>>72128820
have you considered that not all bands record in stereo and there's no discernible differentiation than in mono?
have you considered it's possible to be a competent musician who can analyze music without spending $500 for excessive bullshit?
>>72128907
good and bad instrument separation is still a thing in mono
I'm a musician and for recording I don't really care, I just want good isolation, so in those circumstances I would agree that it's excessive bullshit, but for desk listening at home those 500 bucks (actually 600) are worth it for me to get that little bit extra. diminishing returns are ridiculous when it comes to audio gear, though, I'll admit
>>72128557
Then why do expensive headphones sound better
>>72128557
>not furnishing your studio with $80 headphones
lol
>>72128907
>have you considered that not all bands record in stereo and there's no discernible differentiation than in mono?
Name 20 bands in the last 10 years who record in mono
>>72129181
>wojakposter
>spends money excessively for no reason like a retard
like pottery

>spends money excessively for no reason like a retard
I already said, the reason is that they sound better. Can you read?

>using onboard chinkshit garbage audio
don't do this
