Too long? Too Short?
>>72110242
it's not overlong like TPAB. so yeah this is good.
>>72110280
TPAB was only long because of the last song was a 12 minute catharsis
this clearly doesn't have that and its about the same lenght
>>72110242
Also iTunes now says the album is out on the 16th, not the 14th.
Not quite sure what that's about.
>>72110242
54:54 too long
>>72110242
Section.80 was 59:24
GKMC was 68:23
TPAB was 78:51
yeah, it's going to be trash
>GOD and DUCKWORTH are the same length
what did kendrick lamar duckworth mean by this
>>72110280
it's probably about the same amount of actual musical content, if you look past the 8 minute "interview," the interludes, and the repetition of the poem.
>>72110387
I guess it really will be his Yeezus
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OwSpn4pmv9Q
>>72110387
he's the new Kanye
>>72110390
>it's probably about the same amount of actual musical content, if you look past everything that made the album great
kek
>>72110443
>if you look past everything that made the album great
You mean a 12 minute fake interview and a poem?
>>72110496
Yeah, you dip. It's essential to what the album was all about. Also, the interview portion of Mortal Man is only like 6 minutes.
>>72110390
Hahahahahahahaha nigga don't know how good albums work
>>72110242
Literally who?
How many of you kids are white?
>>72110387
hehehehe
duck
>>72110242
Well, it seems to be his most stripped back, "simpler" album so the track lenghts and overall album lenght keep with that
>>72110242
I CAN'T GET OVER HOW BAD THIS FUCKING ALBUM COVER IS
WHAT THE FUCK DOES DAMN. EVEN MEAN
>not 41 minutes 32 seconds
bloated fucking mess
dropped
>>72110242
I have a bad feeling about this album.
>The Slim Shady LP
Classic debut, but most people only remember a couple songs (My Name Is, Guilty Conscience)
>The Marshall Mathers LP
Critically acclaimed sophomore album, considered by some to be Eminem's best
>The Eminem Show
Amazing third album, considered by others to be Eminem's best
>Encore
Shitty fourth album with at least one good single (Like Toy Soldiers)
>Section.80
Classic debut, but most people only remember a couple songs (Rigamortus, HiiiPoWeR)
>good kid, m.A.A.d city
Critically acclaimed sophomore album, considered by some to be Kendrick's best
>To Pimp a Butterfly
Amazing third album, considered by others to be Kendrick's best
>DAMN.
So far, it seems as though it is going to follow the same path as Encore, with it being a bad album with one good single (HUMBLE.)
>>72112726
Slim Shady LP was Em's second album
>>72112899
Wasn't Infinite just a mixtape? Or was it actually an album?
I really wish we could just ban Kendrick threads until at least a month after the album has come out
>>72110242
source?
>>72110325
>cheesy 2pac interview
>catharsis
>>72113680
Or just get mods to pin one big one
>U2
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
>"FEAR." 7:40
>only composers listed are kendrick and alchemist
oh shit senpai
>>72113720
That'd be nice. I'm sick of the catalog being flooded with duplicate threads
>>72110242
Remember that interview with Rick Rubin? They agreed to work on the next album together
Rubin brings the most emotion out of an artist as he can. He hates having his name on a project with any mainstream appeal. He is also known as a "reducer" as in minimalism.
this album will reflect all of that in Kendrick the same way that Yeezus reflects that side of Kanye.
>>72113754
Why don't you wait until you've actually heard it before sliding Kendricks dick down your throat?
>>72113802
lol I gave absolutely no acclaim or praise to the album in that post. I only attributed familiar characteristics and a pattern I noticed. Go neck yourself
album could be trash for all I know
Source on this?
>>72113633
infinite's his debut
>>72112726
none of eminem's albums are classic, they've been decent at best eminem is not a classic album maker
>>72112726
Eminem is a bad example but this guy has a point the so called "good, great, great, bad" album ranking is surprisingly common in hip hop. Look at ATCQ, Kanye etc
>>72113713
the verse dummyhead
>>72114638
Kanye's fourth album was his best anon
>>72116556
i think you mean 5th
>>72117170
I think you mean 6th
>>72116556
I think you mean 2nd
>>72114638
What's wrong with Beats, Rhymes And Life?
Hip-hop albums rarely have a reason to be longer than 45 minutes.
