Idk if this is true, though. He definitely seems to have lost steam since 2015 to guys like Migos, Lil Uzi Vert, Kodak Black, Yachty, etc. None of those guys are on his level yet but his position in 2015 was just way better than it is now. Even a good song of his, "Passionfruit," has had its impact somewhat blunted by this clumsy release.

Drake isn't trying to make good albums anymore, he's attempting to game the streaming system to 'sell' more records- hence why Views was 20 songs long and had Hotline Bling on the end (more songs = more sales, and all the streams of hotline bling before Views was released count towards it's overall numbers). This is also why he released a playlist instead of an album (whatever that means).

For a similar attempt to game the system look at Ed Sheerans new album, which he released in febuary because there were no other big albums out around that time
