Also Lost Wisdom and Key to the gate are killers

Filosofem is my pick because of its extreme lofi harshness mixed with the ambiance of the keyboard. Burzum I think has the best guitar riffs though, but all of Varg's pre prison stuff is great.

It's a really hard choice and depends on my mood. Hvis Lyset Tar Oss and Filosofem are both so damn good. I don't know how Varg has failed to make albums as good as those since then, the formula seems pretty simple and while also being unique and instantly recognizable as his style.
