does anyone here like this album?
it's like the this heat - deceit of hip hop
Its awesome, not very popular on this board though.

that's what i thought, what is your favorite track off it?
>>72071692
Touch is really great for walking around at night, but Mystic Sheep is insane. I have no idea what that horn around 1:48 is but its so exciting.
>>72071750
they all are really great
Such a bizarre album. Is this guy genuinely insane?
I've wanted to listen for a while but I seriously hate this album art
Anyone else have an extreme pleb trait of putting off albums because their art is bad? I haven't listened to Arca because of it
>>72072458
it's worth it man
the album art is fitting to the aesthetic and style of the album
that is, fucking bizarre
>>72072458
Have you not listened to this album either? If not, then give this one a chance, it's pretty great.
>>72072553
I did for the first time this week actually, someone posted a song and I realized it was amazing and worth taking off of my backlog.
>>72072541
Eh I guess I'll give it a try today, I'm just relistening to stuff so I may as well try something new.
>>72071608
imma be honest i wasn't a huge fan
i think this heat is way overhyped too tho honestly
you're better off listening to early busdriver stuff and shabazz palaces
>>72072578
sweet, what was your favorite song off it? Me personally, Falling from Cloud 9 is amazing, though I feel the remaster job they gave it didn't do it justice
>>72072741
I've gotta relisten and see how I feel since its still kinda too fresh for me to have a clear idea if that makes sense, but right now I guess Waiting To Hit is probably frontrunner right now
Do you know any other bands that mix post rock and shoegaze so well? Only one I knew before this was Yume Bitsu
>>72072880
Yes I do, actually. Yume Bitsu is a great choice, much more on the spacey side of things.
One of my personal favorite bands is called Mob, they do a hybrid between post-rock, shoegaze, and noise rock. The vocals are a bit emo-ish and they have a tendency to incorporate post-hardcore. Here's a sample from what I consider their best album.

You also have Magnog, although they're more space rock than shoegaze. Around the same ball park though.

Did not expect to get such amazing reccs in these genres from a thread about a rap album lol. Thanks a lot man, small interactions with anons like you are why I still love this board.
>>72073660
no problem my man, I'm just glad you liked them.
Its crazy to think some random rapper on Ice-T's label had an album like this inside him. Did hip hop ever get this diverse and experimental ever again? This dude is like a black Edgar Allan Poe or some shit.

i heard somewhere that he dropped like 12 tabs and then recorded this in one sitting but idk that might be bs
